Functional Rehabilitation

At Cherry Creek Spine and Sport Clinic we believe in functional rehabilitation.  As we go through and address your biomechanical and soft tissue restrictions, we must also pay extremely close attention to re-habing the injured areas.  To many times we see patients that have gone to other clinics and have been adjusted for months, yet they are still having the problems.  By combining functional rehab with Active Release Technique and Chiropractic adjustments we are able to get lasting results because the tissues are able to heal properly.  You must get tissues and joints to return to full range of motion, flexibility and endurance to fully fix the problem.

We do not treat with a cookie cutter approach.  We take the time to evaluate each patient's condition and structure a treatment plan based upon their specific needs.  That is why we are able to get the results we get and get our patients back on the playing field as quickly as possible.

Active Release Technique

Active Release Technique has been developed, refined, and patented by P. Michael Leahy, DC, CCSP. Dr. Leahy noticed that his patients' symptoms seemed to be related to changes in their soft tissue that could be felt by hand. By observing how muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves responded to different types of work, Dr. Leahy was able to consistently resolve over 90% of his patients' problems. He now teaches and certifies health care providers all over the world to use ART. See the Active Release Technique page for more details.
